Vukovljak to succeed Johnnie White at the American Society of Appraisers; staff changes at the Bank Policy Institute; more departures and arrivals

Vukovljak named next leader of appraisal group

The $5.7M-revenue American Society of Appraisers announced Lana Vukovljak will join the organization as CEO and executive vice president, effective July 1. She will succeed Johnnie White, who left ASA after five years to lead the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. 

"Lana's extensive experience and dedication to professional education make her an outstanding leader for our organization. Her vision and strategic skills will be invaluable in advancing our mission internationally and continuing ASA's leadership in the valuation profession," said Garret Schwartz, ASA International president. 

Vukovljak has spent the past nine years as CEO of the Residential Real Estate Council. Previously, she led the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Earlier in her career, she was vice president of continuing education for AHIMA.

She has a master’s degree in language and adult education from the University of Belgrade in Serbia and a master’s degree in technical communication and information design from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Most recently, Madden was director of the Gannett Foundation for the USA TODAY Network. Previously, she spent five years as a community investment advisor for defense and space manufacturer BAE Systems.

Financial Technology AssociationSarah Mamula has joined FTA as its head of government affairs. She was most recently vice president of government affairs for the Bank Policy Institute, where she spent five years. Earlier in her career, she was a senior director for the Global Women’s Innovation Network.

Information Technology Industry CouncilSean Murphy has joined $21M-revenue ITIC as executive vice president of policy. Murphy was most recently an expert consultant for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Previously, he was vice president and counsel, head of worldwide government relations for Dolby Laboratories for six years. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 16 years at Qualcomm, where he was vice president and counsel of international government affairs.
